Those of you that have been a part of the Runner’s Den family for a while, will remember that Dr. Richard Buchbinder used to come by the store every Thursday night (for 25 years!) and give free foot/injury evaluations. Well, as you know, the good Doctor retired a few years ago… But never fear! Runner’s Den has got you covered! We are very proud to announce that we will be offering four free injury clinics every month!
Dr. David Jenkins, a professor at the Midwestern University Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine joins us on the second Wednesday of every month from 5-7pm. If you have any questions about the way your feet work, or if you’ve been struggling with an injury that you just can’t shake, this is your chance to get some answers! If possible, try to arrive a little early so that Dr. Jenkins has more than enough time to evaluate you. If you are planning to attend, please call the store to verify times and dates.
Pretty cool, right?!? But wait! It gets better! Runner’s Den has also partnered with Matt Kraemer of Endurance Rehab! Matt will be here at the store on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month between 5:30pm and 7pm. Matt is a born and raised Phoenician. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University in 1999. After earning his Strength and Conditioning Certification and Athletic Training Certification in 2001, he completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from A.T. Still University in 2004. Matt has experience in treating all types of orthopedic injuries, however he has extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of endurance athletes, including foot and ankle/ running specific injuries. Matt is also the director of the Arcadia Endurance location, and takes great pride in ensuring that all patients receive the best care possible. Matt is also a contributing writer in Triathlete magazine and LAVA magazine. Again, if possible, please try to arrive a little early so that Matt has plenty of time to work with you.
We are very grateful to have the one and only Perry Edinger here at the store on the fourth Wednesday of every month. From 5-6pm, Perry gives a presentation on a different sports related injury, as well as free injury evaluations! He is the former Director of Sports Medicine for ASU, and is currently applying his skills for the NFL, Banner Health, and The Orthopedic Clinic! He is a very accomplished runner, and knows how frustrating it can be to have an injury holding you back. Oh… Did I mention, Perry is also the founder of, and original race director of Pat’s Run? Yeah. Perry is a great guy to have in your corner!
We are very excited about being able to offer you this service again, and are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday nights!
